newbie exaust question
 

Anyway, my car (n/a) is completely stock exaust wise. As you know it's pretty quiet, but I've heard clips & various cars with aftermarket exaust's and they were loud & sounded killer. Anyway, what i would like is a dual exaust thats quite loud, much more so than stock, but still looks factory. Most importantly, other than the aux. ports not working any more, what else is effected with removal of mufflers/ cats, if anything? Could it possibly run too rich/or lean? Remeber I'm only doing this for sound, nothing performance wise at all involved. Thanks for the advice

I think you need to re-evaluate your priorities, lol.

Take the mid pipe and cat out lol.

if u really want it to be loud then just run it our of the header...but no seriously u need to get your priorities straight here. it shouldn't really matter what your exhaust sounds like if u get a nice horsepower gain...IMO quieter is better since it attracts less attention from ricers/pedestrians/cops

Get a drill and pwn your mufflers, cats, and random exhaust spots. It'll be loud and look stock!









(But really, please don't)

get an electric exhaust cut out. it would bypass where ever you put it. usually after header or downpipe. your stock cat back would remain intact. it would sound very mean on a n/a rotary engine.
