newb to rotor engine.....i really need some help.

ok so i got my first rotary motor 4 days ago :bigthumb:.....its a 1988 13b 6port FI engine. i bought the motor complete.

now the help i will need from all you. i also will be searching elsewhere.....joined other forums......been surfing for 4 days not so much yet......... hopefully this forum will kick some ass. so far in the recent searches i found here looks like we got alot of rotary gurus on here.....hope you can help.

i know i can convert this motor to the old reliable :blue: WEBER carburetors (51mm IDA's) :blue: and swap into my VW........looking to get the manifold from rotary shack...have the kennedy adapter kit.

anyways i would like to know about what i should do regarding the following:
stock Oil metering pump(can i ditch it)......crank sensor(can i use a distributor from an old model).....

BASICALLY: what i can get rid of what to keep and what i need to get to have this motor running.

any info will be truly appreciated. any special company or engine builder i can contact?

thanks again,

mario

you can ditch the oil metering pump if you run pre-mix..supposidly

ditch everything, get a buncha block off plates to block off everything, run premix ( 1 oz per gallon) and run a distributor.

What they mean by "premix" is adding 2stroke motor oil to your gas. In case you didnt know. Welcome to Wankel land.
