New TPS, still have fluctuating idle.
 

My idle has been bouncing ever since I got the car a year ago and I finally replaced the TPS today and it's still doing it. When I checked my old TPS before, it had a break at about 3.5K ohms. this one is testing fine.

What else could make the idle bounce?

Hve you 'reset' the car? I heard here that you have to disonnect the battery and hold teh brake for abotu 10 seconds then reconnect everythign after you do any changes like that. I may be wrong but I did it to my car twice after my idled bounced around and it leveled back out.

these cars do not retain memory, they do not work like newer cars so disconnecting the battery should not have an affect unless you have a bad connection, basically it would be the equivalent of turning off the ignition for a minute.

there is other variables to bounding idle than the TPS though, if you have it set correctly and tried adjusting the TPS with no change then it could be one of several other engine sensors or solenoids.

No, this is a one person operation, just disconnect the battery then hop into the car. No specific time is needed.

And for Karack: I have performed this operatoin twice after adjusting my car, having unplugged the O2 sensor a few times since my engines install, and both times after doing adjustments the car acted like absolute ass until I did that. It may be my car specifically but what harm can it do to try a simple 5 minute check?
