user 9348703 12-17-03 01:35 AM

Its not a new item.

Actually its kind of a pain in the butt to install, but yeah it makes the sleepy eyes look, thats pretty cheap for it right now.

"wow."

homey_v 12-17-03 09:23 AM

somone want to explain why it is hard to install?

thanks and one more thing...do i need to controlers? one for each light?

Kenteth 12-17-03 10:22 AM

someone explain to me why someone would want this

cbrock 12-17-03 10:37 AM

Perhaps if you changed your front headlights to a dual bulb setup (per side), kind of like the old knight sports kit and you didn't need it to pop up all the way.

BlackIceGuitar 12-17-03 10:45 AM

I've never cared much for that look.

den 12-17-03 10:54 AM

$65 for the broken headlight look.. er.. i mean the sleepy eyes look. bargain !

Bukwild 12-17-03 12:01 PM

I doubt this kit works for the 7. I have seen a few people who have set their lights to stop at that point by cutting the power to them but as a kit that will do that every time and keep them level and have operating headlights. That would be more complex.

enrique 12-17-03 01:27 PM

it works. how do I know? I have it installed in my turbo 2. was pretty simple to install cut one wire wire those 2 wires to the controller and then find a ground. if anybody gets this and needs help installing it hit me up.
its mainly for looks although it can force cooler air towards the filter if you have an aftermarket tid.

Mephis 12-17-03 01:42 PM

why not carve some new headlight lifting arms outa wood, then you have soething fast and easy to install, and its easyly revursed.

ZachSpazz 12-17-03 01:46 PM

"What happened to your headlights?"

"I did that on purpose."

"Well, it looks like they're broken."

"Nah, I bought this $65 switch off of EBay to make 'em do that."

"Are you retarded"

"Yes, yes I am."

The lifting arm setup doesn't let you do that accually- Anouther forum member (gnrx7 i think) accually built a sliding rod setup that worked. He planed to sell it with a twin projector kit but it never happened.

If you just shorten the arm the motor gets fucked up and it wont come back down becuase of the cam setup used.

enrique 12-17-03 03:46 PM

why would you be sorry what I have done to my car? No offense but other people's opions don't matter much to me nor should they matter to others. what are your mods that you are so high and mighty?

That is pretty funny.

I did see them on a VERY few cars in general and I thought they looked alright. I mean opinions vary quite a bit.

You would never find it on my car, nor sleek lights, I just like the stock look with LIGHTS DOWN all the way. I just use my fog lights to drive anyway since they are bright enough.

RyoFC3S 12-17-03 08:05 PM

lol, its probably a waste of $60 you could spend somewhere else :)

cloead 12-17-03 08:36 PM

just buy a $2 switch at radioshack and wire it in below the headlight retractor fuse. lot cheaper.

i dunno sometimes the look is ok

the problem with that is you have to hit the switch and try to get it in the position you want every time your lights are off. with the controller you turn your lights on your head lights are open all the way. once off the controller regulates how far the headlights close and you never have to change the setting unless you want to make adjustments either + or -

cloead 12-17-03 08:59 PM

still $2 vs $60+, i know what i would buy.

enrique 12-17-03 10:00 PM

thats like buying a mbc instead of greddy FATT cause its cheaper.

George84 12-17-03 10:08 PM

I think it looks horrible, I would only pay to fix my car if it had that look
