yea what fd or fc(whichever it is) stand for, also

im looking into getting a 2nd gen RX-7, need to ask some questions

first, is it true that 13b's have a max RPM's of 17K?
2nd, are rotarys easier to rebuild than piston egines?
3rd, how much trouble is it to put in a 3 or 4 rotor in a 2nd gen? (im sure there probably a tread for it already so if someone could link me to it, id be greatful)
4th, how much $$ is too much for a non-turbo 2nd gen RX-7?

thats all for now,

kevin

1) no (atleast nothing stock)
2) yes (well, i don`t know shit about piston engines so for me its definately easier ;)
3) http://fc3spro.com/TECH/SWAP/swap.html
4) depends on location, prices vary a lot

From the FAQ at the top of the page... Read it, live it, love it...

FB = 1st gen RX-7 81-85 production
FC = 2nd gen RX-7 86-92 production
FC3C = 2nd gen RX-7 convertible
FC3S = 2nd gen RX-7 Coupe
FCD = Fuel Cut defender (aftermarket- used only on Turbos with modifed exhaust and stock ECU)
FD = 3rd gen RX-7

1) thats something ive never heard
2)i personally think its easier to rebuild a rotary than a piston engine
3) i have no clue on that
4) it all depends on the condition of the car the amount of mods the mileage and the location. i havent really seen a n/a 7 go for over 4500 and thats modded and in pristine condition.

Hope you get alot of help from here and help others.

Also, the biggest pet peeve here is using the search function. Chances are the questions you want answered have already been answered.
