New to this forum....
Hi all!
Just saying hi. A buddy posted - over on the "kills" page about me eating a Ram Air T/A. So I thought I'd say hi. I've had my '87 TII since '91 and have love every minute of it.... However, it's a little different now...... TheWrongMotor.com Before you flame me, remember 2/3's of my RX7's are still rotary powered. |
lol.... 2 outta 3 ain't bad... ;)
Actually, that looks like really nice work... I do have some questions: (but don't interpret these as a flame, 'cause they aren't!) 1) the third gen, nice work, but how much is it gonna cost ? (approx) 2) (again on the 3rd gen) did you have to relocate the steering rack or did it fit properly? 'cause I know that when you put a 20B it needs to be relocated... 3) (guess what, this is about the 3rd gen too.. :D) What kind of performance numbers are you expecting from it when finished? (Just trying to compare the cost of the swap to similar mods on the original engine... (NOT a flame! :))) But that looks like damn nice work on all the cars.. the (ex)TII looks great... ;) |
I dunno, I think the car looks pretty cool. Definately a wierd thing hearing a V8 rumble from a 7. I can imagine its quite fast.

On top of the car, add about $6,000 - $9,000 depending on your abilities.
The whole center section of the front sub-frame is new. Yes, the rack is relocated, but only slightly lower, that's all. An alignment, and it's all good. Performance #'s. well, it should be in the high 11's, low 12's pretty easily. Others running totally stock engines are in the 12.7x's, and this one is not stock. :) |
Dude the red one looks like the motor actually belongs there. nice car man. I wonder if mazda ever thought that someone was gonna rip the 1.3 liter engine out and put a 5.7 in.
