Neutral start = okay, in gear start = jump... ?

I can start my car up in neutral, as normal... but when I start it up in reverse or 1st gear, it will jump in that specific direction. It's almost like I am not even pushing down the clutch pedal... BUT I AM!??!? You think the neutral switch wiring is messed up or something?

sounds like your clutch isnt disengaging all the way...

Hmm... how could I possibly fix that? I did install a new clutch and flywheel about 2 months ago. Would it help to make sure there is full pressure in the clutch line also? Will I need to take the tranny off to fix this?

bleed your clutch. check or swap out your slave cylinder

Airceo13 05-30-07 02:09 AM

if you look underneath where the clutch pedal is... there is a threaded rod with a nut on it... losen that nut and turn the rod towards the master cylinder(firewall)... this would adjust the pedal so when you press on your pedal it would disengage the clutch fully.... but dont turn it too much coz it could leave your pressure plate half engaged and half disengaged which will cause clutch slippage... i think theres a write up somewhere how to adjust the clutch properly... and i dont think you need to remove the transmission to fix this... i hope that helps alittle... its kinda hard to explain lol anyways goodluck

How do I pull the pilot bearing? Like where can I ge the tool? I am pretty sure that this is the mistake I made... not changing the pilot bearing.
