Need to verify series 4 or series 5 engine parts (pics)
i got some engine parts off of ebay, they came in today and i was very disappointed to see what i thought were zenki engine parts. I emailed the guy about it as they were listed as from a 91 engine and all he says was that he was "pretty sure" that they were from a 91 engine. I've been messing with these cars for quite a while and i think i know what a zenki rotor and kouki rotor look like as well as a zenki rotor housing vs kouki housing. I'm going to put the pics up however so at least i can have sometime to show the guy when he emails me back again if he's still claiming they are from a 91.

Yep, looks like Zenki stuff to me.
Weigh the rotors to be sure. Over 10# is Zenki. Under 10# is Kouki. If you don't have an accurate scale, take it to the local supermarket and ask them to weight it at the cash register - hey, don't laugh we've done this before! :) -Ted |

Hey, they're S4... in case no one told you. ;P
BTW easy way to tell if you ask me! On my S5 rotors you see the dip on each side of the rotor pits where it starts to dip in and then it dips in deeper? Well it's only on one side of each pit in the S5... you can probably see in this pic. --Gary |
