Need new clutch, Recommendations?
Well, my RX was my first stick and performance car, needless to say its worn down alot already(i can rev my car to redline and only accelerate slowly). I would like to know what you guys have in yours or recommend putting in it between the range of $100-200 range and not be OEM? (if thats even possible)

Id go with Tilton, Cusco, Exedy, ORC, RB etc.
I have a RB clutch & PP in good condition for sale... |
I just put a RB racing PP in mine for like $140 or something. I already had a street/strip disc, but was told the oem disc works well with that plate too. Not sure what an oem disc runs, but it made a BIG improvement in holding power, and not much difference in pedal effort or engagement.

i drove a honda with a ceterforce dual friction clutch a while back. linear engagement with a firm feel and rediculous clamping power. it held strong enough to dump the clutch and spin the tires in THIRD GEAR. it wasnt the engine it was the clutch. i dont know how they are in sevens but its worth considering. probobly good for a street/autocross car because of the grip level.

How the fuck does a honda sping the wheels at 3rd. :wtf:
:bsmeter: |
Let's see...I could chirp the tires going into 3rd in a '87 Dodge Colt with 55hp and a stock not so new clutch, so I would hope one could do it in any semi-modern Honda. As he said it's the clutch. Try this link: www.google.com. :D

I vote for ACT. i got one and it has feel only equal to its holding power.
tiltion == big $$$ |
I went with the Centerforce Dual Friction. I just installed it on my rebuilt engine, so I havent seen what it can do yet, but a friend had one in his 240 and I loved it. Also, I have one in my old prelude, and it was excellent. If you decide to go with the CF DF, get it from NOPI. Trust me. They have the best price on it. (255.00 for a S4 TII). You will need to get a TOB though.

Go with ACT!

with FWD you can powershift to third and definitely get those tires to chirp. I wasn't even powershifting, and I got my 92' civic LX 4 door to chirp the tires into 2nd. I would imagine if I really tried I could do it into 3rd.
