Hello all. I am wondering if someone can tell me how to fix the circled part of this pic. I am not sure what you would call it. Radiator support???? Anyway, Mine is bend because of an accident, and I am wondering if this can be fixed with a frame machine or can I cut it off with a torch and weld another one on it? I am attaching a pic, but not of my car, this is just for a reference. Any idea how this can be fixed or is it fubarred????? Oh, by the way, my hood won't close right because this is bent, and I would really like to fix this. Any help is gratly appreciated!!!!

i would weld another one on if the bend is a signifigant amount...if you can get a pic of the actuall bend then it would help......

Sorry I don't have a camera to take a pic, but is welding another on pretty much my only option????

With a piece like that you cut and replace. It will be weakened if you just bend it back.

ok, thanks. Would this be very hard to do, or should I take it to a body shop? I guess I will be in market for this piece. Anybody with a parts car wanna sell me this piece??

If you take off the front fenders, bumper cover and what not, you can get to the whole thing!!! Use a drill and drill out the spot welds!!! The rad support should come out moderetly easy that way, and any other one you get should line up fairly well!!! If you put a "chunk" of copper behind the whole/'s you or some one else can weld it up... the cuppoer helps dissipate the heat so as not to just burn right through the metal!!!
