need help w/ diagnosis??

hey guys i need help with something.

i've been trying to figure this out for about a month now and still can't get it. this is what happens, car starts fine idles a little off 1500 and bouncy or 1100 rock solid?? it has a mind of its own but that's not a major issue, the issue is when i accelerate starting at 4k i get this jerking hesitation and slow acceleration it happens at 4k 4.5k 5k 5.5k and 6k the funny thing is once it get's to 6k-7k it seems to be fine (well better). i have tried to adjust my tps my timing the bac and the variable resistor set screw. my mechanic says that it's most likely electrical related like a bad ground but i have had no luck finding one??? i think it's either a 1.bad tps 2. bad leading coil. 3. a bad cat, or the dreaded 4. rear rotor failure. i need some advice and someone to tell me oh well it can't be that because... please i am going insane with this i want to drive off a cliff!!!

thanks
james

sorry guys it's for an 87 N/A if my name didn't give it away

another thing that i found yesterday was that i have a coupler on the leading coil that isn't connected to anything. it's a black wire there is a white connecter that is connected but there is 3 wires the black one with a snap connector end isn't connected should this be connected??!!???

My secondaries are non-functional right now and the car performs the same way-speeds up to ~4k, then slow up to about 6000, then speeds up. Haven't found the problem yet though, narrowed it down to:
1. clogged injectors
2. bad wiring harness
3. bad ECU

All else has been ruled out.
Hope this helps

Your rotors are fine (for now).

Your cats are fine. (well at least not causing this
problem)

Please check for engine codes.
You should see that your problem is with your pressure (boost) sensor.

I just fixed this very issue.

Please PM me to dowload the FSM if you need one.
Its on page 4A-73

no i actually have a hard copy it came with the car. SO IT'S THE STUPID BOOST SENSOR MAN YOU HAVE saved me a lot of worry i will try it and let you know if the problem persists.

THANKS
james
