Need Help Finding Something In The FSM

In this guide, it speaks of a wire that is coming off the light switch that should give power to the indiglo gauges when the lights are turned on. I want to use this relay to power the light on my boost gauge, but the directions for which line I need to splice are pretty vague, so could anyone direct me to exactly which section of the FSM this can be found in, or maybe simply just a better explanation of what they are talking about. Below is the text from the link above telling you which wire to run off of.

Now on the 89-91 N/A FC3S cars, the wire you want is the dash light power lead that goes FROM the light switch. This is the 3rd wire on the bottom, from right to left with the plug on top. It is on wiring diagram E-3 in the FSM. Tap into this wire using which ever method you are comfortable with and make sure that there is no possibility for bare wire contact to anything. Now slip the relay, excess wires and the dimmer/selector switch down the steering column so you can tie into a ground and mount the switch later.

I just tapped into my cigarette lighter light. Piece of cake. The cig light turns on when you turn on your headlights one click. I also used one of the bolts holding down the shifter as a ground.

Hmm....that sounds like a lot better option than hacking away at some plugs that would be a pain in the arse to fix up. Then again, I don't even remember my light there ever being on, so that might not be the best option, lol, i'll check it out, thanks for the suggestion though.

Do you want pictures? I can snap some right now.

No thanks, I know what SHOULD be going on there, but when I think about it I never remembered my cig light being on, but never used it or anything enough to notice or care about it.

Could be just a burned out bulb.

Nah, it doesn't get power at all. Anyways, can anyone tell me where to find this cable i'm looking for?

Red/black from the light switch is the non-dimming dash/parking light wire.

Which one of the plugs is coming "from" the light switch? The small or big one?
