For the 2 threaded studs, 1 is power and 1 ground (from the battery terminals) and I forget which is which. The little prong on the starter is the starter solenoid.

The black box with the ring connector sounds like the condensor for the oil pressure gauge and is supposed to be bolted onto the slave cylinder on the tranny.

There are 3 connections on the solenoid. (The small cylinder on top of the starter.)
The smallest one is from the ignition switch, to operate the solenoid. Of the remaining 2, the one with the wire already attached to it and going down into the starter motor remains as it is - You don't attach anything to it. It is not a ground, it is the switched power connection to the starter. The other large terminal is for the battery cable from the positive side of your battery. When you turn the key, the solenoid engages the starter gear and it also connects (internally) the terminal with the battery cable to the terminal with the wire running down into the starter.
The starter is grounded by its mechanical connection to the engine/trans.

NEED AN ANSWER QUICK! Did you arc the solenoid posts so bad that you can't thread a nut on them? I knda figure that's what has happen since your last post.
