Need help on engine problem!!!
 

so my car is a 88 gtu but i have a 86-87 production year engine installed in it but the car isnt really running right can it be an ecu problem or any suggestions???

you will need to be more descriptive than that for anyone to be able to help.

For that matter, the 86-88 model motors are all the same, only difference is the injectors (resistance).

hehe I have the same thing, 88 gtu w/ 87 engine in it, and it seems to want to "flutter" at lower rpm lately, but only after I let my dad drive it for a couple days. Needless to say he felt bad and I got new winter tires :P.

Ya, but mine is running a little weird too, anything below 3000 rpm seems to shake the car 5x more then normal. I hope im not losing an apex. ( .. my dad said the car got really hot ... because he didnt know he had AC on.... ) lawlz. Maybe he melted a seal.

yea same here but only i disconected my A/C and my idles around 2000 rpm - 2500 rpm and when i lower the idle it seems like it wants to turn off and all my coolant hoses get clogged or somethin so i think it might be my thermostat im not to sure thoe cause my temperture goes up and down so yea...
