need help with choosing e-shaft
ok so I was talking to a shop today and they suggested that I use the RX8 stationary gears since they are hardened, and use the RX8 e-shaft since it is lighter. my question is, do I need to use the RX8 e-shaft with the stationary gears or can I still keep my S5 E-shaft?

oh i forgot to mention i will also be using a s4 t2 trans, i plan on buying the rb aluminum flywheel, but should i get one for an rx8 or the s4 t2, or does it not matter since they are externally balanced?

What is the application?

P-ported 1st gen for road racing

the rx8 motor is good for 9300rpm right out of the factory, so it would be nice to have the gears and shaft.
however it IS an option, if your stuff is in good shape. the t2 trans is a poor choice, its geared wrong, and it can't handle high rpm shifts. P port is a great choice though |

well seeing as I only gave $80 for a "88 NA trans" off of craigslist that actually turned out to be an 87 T2,I couldn't pass it up. but I plan on putting a new 4.875 R&P in it which should off set the relatively long fifth gear in the T2 compared to the 83 trans in the car now
