Need flywheel dia and # of teeth

On a 89-91 n/a would someone measure the dia of the flywheel and the # of teeth on it.

Also I need the dimension from the rear of the engine to the rear of the flywheel.

Thanks

There are 116 teeth and 11 3/4 inches in dia.

I dont know the rear of the engine to the rear of the flywheel but the flywheel is 1 15/16in deep.

when buying a flywheel for these cars, the measurement is usually given in millimeters (mm). I think the turbo flywheels are 225mm and the N/A are 215mm

I want to use the trans and starter on something other than an rx-7 (I had the trans handy). I need to get a non rotary flywheel (no counter balance) and I don't have the flywheel that came with the trans anymore to measure and compare. Hopefully Mazda used the same dia and # of teeth on a piston engine car. I may have to use a light weight RX-7 flywheel and ditch the counter balance. Lots of custom parts required, I know.

If someone has the engine to flywheel distance I'd still like that so I can set my new flywheel the right distance in the tranny.

Thanks for the help. I love this forum.

Early 1st gens had 215 mm clutches, later 1st gens, and n/a 2nd gens had 225 mm clutches, and the TII/FD's have 245 mm clutches.
