Need an electrical favor

Can someone with an 89-up NA look at their variable resistor and tell me what the plug looks like and what color the wires are. My 86 variable resistors plug is different from anything on my 90 harness and between my 86 factory manual and the all-knowing Haynes manual it's got me no where. Thanks.

hey

I have an 89fc na. Please tell me where the variable resistor is on the harness. I just took all the tape off the harness in the engine bay.

The variable resistor will be in front of the passenger side inner fender well. Near the top of the strut. Should be pretty close to the boost (ATP) sensor. If you could just look at it and tell me what the plug looks like. My 86 resistor has a round plug and I'm guessing the later cars have a T-shaped plug....but that's just a WAG. Also, what are the wire colors going to the reisitor?

Thanks.
Chris

Uh, I don't remember a variable resistor on an 89-91 series RX-7. As a matter of fact, I just checked a wiring diagram for a 90, no variable resistor on it anywhere. C. Ludwig, you have a variable resistor on yours????

Ahhhhh, hahhhh!:D Haynes manuals suck!

I've been looking everywhere for that connector and just couldn't find it. My Haynes manual says it's got one and I just keep looking and looking. The problem with this manual is that it says "diagram of 86, 87 similar" and "diagram of 88, 89-91 similar". Thanks guys.

Chris
