need easy wiring help
 

Ok so thing is I am trying to get my car started after a rebuild and I have no clue where to plug in my pre-cat O2 sensor. Both connections are still connected(apparently the wire got ripped in two). I thought i remebered unpluggin it from behind the engine but i can't seem to find any loose wires back there.

Also there is another wire that apparently got ripped from it's connection on the front of the engine. It is located right under the inlet for the intercooler. It doesn't go to the BAC because that is plugged in but I can't find anything else for it and I don't think it goes to the O2 sensor.

Long story short...does anyone have a wiring harness diagram or helluva lot of pictures they can show me so i can figure this doesy out??

I think you have spotted it.
There are very few solo wires in the harness.
The O2 sensor wire comes out of the harness near the MOP & ACV connectors.

i could have sworn i unplugged it from the back though. Oh'well I'll plug it in there and cross my fingers and hope i don't have an engine fire...

Before you do any damage, what COLOR is this lonely wire you're talking about?

not at home so i can't check but if my memory serves me it's black with what seemed like a little bit of insulation around it

I should have said this before, but it is very difficult to rip a wire in two- if there are frayed strands at the end of the wire, it probably pulled out of a connector or splice. It may be the ground for your O2 sensor shielding. If your O2 sensor harness connector is looking good (should be at the back of the engine somewhere, and the wiring should be heading off under the UIM.

If both of your "lonely" wires are black, and both have bare strands, it might have been the location a PO spliced his O2 sensor harness together, but without being there, it's just a guess.

At least do yourself a favor and turn the key on, and make sure no voltage is present at either wire end. If you can start the car, then start it and check 'em again for voltage. If after the car warms up, you have about .7 to 1 volt at a wire, this is probably your O2 sensor signal wire...
