Im in the process of making one myself(writeup).

I like to use radio shack switches, its a black round rocker switch, really slimline and stealth. I mount miune behind the keyhone ont eh steering column lower cover within finger's reach while turning the key.

Use proper connectors, and run a speaker wire(or 2 seperate wires) fromt his switch to the relay which will be about 1 foot behind/under it. ITs black with yellow bottom and 5 wires...cut the MIDDLE wire, black with white stripe. Connect one end of your wire to one end of what you just cut, then the other 2, order does not matter. Your switch is now complete.

Just make sure you use thick speaker wire. You're splicing into the actual feed to the fuel pump, not just a relay control wire, so you don't want a volt drop due to skinny wire. Otherwise exactly as above. I put mine next to the little "crotch vent" under the steering column.

If you have a 89-91, look for a post of mine called "How To:Install A Fuel Cut Switch on a Series 5 N/A."

Or you can go here, https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=54047 and read near the bottom where J-Rat explains the installation with pictures, should get you on your way.

I installed my switch a month ago and everything was fine until yesterday. My switch quit. No big deal, I'll go buy another one. I put this one in last night and It blew the 15A engine fuse in the kick panel. What's wrong? The car runs & starts fine if I hook the wires up w/o the switch. The switch is rated at 20A, is this too low? I used good quality 10 ga. wire to run to the switch. The wires are all intact and none of them are cut.

Anyone know why this happened?

I'm going to re-route a Radio Shack switch to Kevin's location and see if that works.
