Need Advice- 89' throwing code 27 for MOP, starts then dies

Hey guys I just put a new engine in my 89' GTUs and it won't stay running. It starts, runs for a little bit then dies and throws code 27 for the MOP.
I have the page from the FSM and am going to do the tests tomorrow if weather permits(I left my meter at work).

I can see the OMP is pumping oil into one tube though so I'm going to assume it's bad.

I'm thinking of premixing, but how am I supposed to run premix if the car dies due to the OMP not working?

How do I get the car to run with a bad OMP, for testing purposes and premixing?

Thanks in advance for your help and anyone who's had a similar problem PLEASE chime in.

Take care,

-Ian

Well, you could replace the MOP, or you could get an RTek/EMS and premix to keep it from going into limp mode...

Yeah, SO Theres no way to keep the stock ECU out of limp mode except for replacing the omp?

I guess I'll just Get a new/used OMP then.

I had to do the same thing, and share your pain on that one. However, MOP prices are ridiculous, so if you're considering moving to a standalone or RTek, and can't find an MOP for a reasonable cost, I'd say do it. If the S5 NA 2.0 had been out when mine failed, that's the route I would have gone.
