na with turbo swap questions

i am getting a 87 na with a really crappy s4 turbo II swap in it, for really cheap,im wondering how safe it is to drive, with no knock control box, and stock na fuel pump.

i mean like is it safe to drive calmly, if im not hitting any boost, with the na fuel pump??

and what would happen with out the knock control box?

eventually im gonna install the proper things, but just wondering if i should even move the car?

I must stress the fuel pump is so important it has to be brand knew prefrably a 3rd gen or walboro 2nd 4 brand knew injectors do not get them cleaned they are old and worn out ,so you don't have hot start issues ......I learned the hard way all you need is them 2 brand knew no flooding smooth idle no 3800 hesitation people don't under stand the car is old it needs knew fuel parts don't forget fuel filter

To just drive around without boosting you will have no problem at all unless something is already broken. There is no need to get brand new injectors. If yours are damaged beyond repair then you can always buy good used ones. There is also no need to get a brand new fuel pump, a walbro or used TII pump is fine.

Without knock control box the ECU will not retard timing if there is any knocking. Under normal circumstances with good octane fuel this should not be happening anyways.

Be very careful of throttle inputs if you have full exhaust and intake. You'll build boost very easily.

Not sure about the knock box. I've heard it's basically useless any way. I can't confirm this though.

Now the Fuel pump.
SUCK IT UP AND PAY $90 off ebay for a Walbro!!!!!

Also the whole buy new injectors crap.
Cleaning and flow testing your current ones are perfectly acceptable.

The fuel injectors just get clogged from 10+ years of bad gas.

3 of the 4 injectors I had failed the leak test and sprayed around 480-500cc's

Cruizin Performance did a great job on the ones I sent them.
They came back with new caps/filters/etc and all passed leak tests and were right at or around 550cc's.
