NA/ TII counterweight..different?

simple question...are NA and TII counterweights (the one in the frontcover) the same? i just built my high comp TII and have a vibration..wonder if this has anything to do with it?

thanks

ps..i used the same series (s4) na rotors, with the counterweight, eshaft, and all the rest from the TII engine.

I think they're different, I've always read that the counterweights are unique to the specific rotors (for instance, if you swap in a set of n/a rotors to a turbo, you need to keep the n/a counterweights, front and back, with 'em)...

they're different, just like the rears are different.

S5 rotors are same weight, so same counter weights. The rotors just have difference compression but that doesnt affect the weights.

counter weights must match the rotors

at least you dont' have to tear the engine apart.

make sure to match up your flywheel correctly too

Counterweights are specific to SERIES, not model (turbo or NA).

All 86-88 ctwts fit all 86-88 models, turbo or non, for example. This applies to front and rear (automatic ctwt or manual flywheel w/integrated ctwt).

Why else do you think turbo aftermarket flywheels come with stock automatic NONTURBO rear ctwt's?

The weight of all rotors in a series is the same. Compression ratios do differ, however.

Exactly what I said

Right, but I figured that in light of contradictory responses from some members here, they might trust the word of an engine builder over all others.

ok..thats what i figured...time to go hunting for other causes of vibrations...

thanks
