N2O possibility
Well I'm thinking about adding a wet nitrous sytem to my NA and I wonder if that would be terrible for my engine or not? It seems like that would be easiest, cheapest, safest, and the biggest advantage to have compared to streetporting, turboing, or making 1000 other mods, but does anyone have any better ideas? Also does anyone have a link to a walk-through of how to add a wet nitrous system?

ya need to talk to scathcart...he's the shitz on nitrous topics

Its a great idea! Theres alot of misconceptions about nitrous...the truth is that any shot of nitrous that isn't unreasonable huge will be fine and won't damage your engine at all provided you have it set up right. You need to upgrade your fuel pump so you don't lean out. Thats the biggest safety item you need to buy. A SFAC-II is also a good idea. Then just get an NOS brand wet kit and check out this walk through:
http://www.fc3s.org/how_tos/engine/nos_wet.html I'm going to be running a 75 shot on my N/A. Good luck and have fun! -Joe |
You will be alright as long as it is hooked up right and you dont abuse it.

wet= good
dry=bad wet nitrous is really very safe. just dont get too nutty with it. anything over a 75 shot requires you to change timing, run higher octane, etc. keep it reasonable, and it wont hurt a thing. pat |
thanks you guys, and now does anyone know of a good fuel pump to buy/is it true i would need to upgrade?
|
you dont absolutely need to upgrade, but it is a very good idea. i would if i were you. walbro 255, or just a TII pump. or FD. TII pumps are nice on a NA...
pat ps if you want a TII pump pm me i got one (just upgraded mine to FD) |
Scathcart is the man..
