N/A Turbo Build Help???

Good evening RX7 club! So i am curious as to why people do not like to turbo the N/A engines? They have a 9:4:1 compression which i think would be a nice ratio for 8-10 lbs. I have never gone turbo in a car yet lol so picking up some ideas and giving you guys the opportunity to share your opinions so we can learn from each other! I have a 60k mile street-port N/A with goopy apex seals and mazdatrix rebuild kit ( so it be told) from a friend of mine who owned the car for about 3 years but it sat for 2. replaced injectors, fuel tank, 255 walbro pump, steel braided brake and clutch lines, 4 piston calipers, PBM solid bushing and spherical bearings, 2 inch pace setter headers straight pipe to racing beat catback. new clutch kit and picked up another s5 N/A trans because mine popped the week i got it running :/. BIG QUESTION is with the build i have going would it be ok to boost 8-10 lbs on this dorrito????? i know its all in the tune but just some specifications and some data to back it up would be much appreciated XD

Aaron Cake has a bridgeport big turbo n/a motor. He has a little guide on what is needed to do it on the forums here somewhere. There are some mods like making an oil feed line from the pan for the turbo and adding a turbo front cover, but nothing too tricky. IMO its easier and cheaper just to buy a running TII or a TII shell because the n/a drive line can only hold so much power also. But if you are street ported with good seals and compression and have some time to source parts, there are certainly people who go that route. Could just use the n/a rotors in a TII engine also though.
