That is NOT the ground for the ECU that is located under the intake, on top of the rear ROTOR HOUSING. That ground has a ring ternimal and has two wires in the ternimal. Both black. |
My Turbovert (Swordfish) is complete. Everything is in. Ready to race .......with only one issue.....It won't idle, unless I set the idle above 2000 rpm (it just dies at lower rpms). There is a strange hissing noise coming from around the trottle & dynamic chamber. I suspect a vacuum leak, but I'm not finding anything. Any thoughts or suggestions?
|
most likely a vac leak, you could spray some crap down on it and see if it sucks it in to verify if its a leak or not....but I can garuntee you it is.
Pull the manifolds and go to autozone and stock up on vac line. |
I found the leak!! One of the primary fuel injectors has a warped seal and a cracked tip......so anyone in the Austin area have 1 or 2, 550cc 89-91 TII fuel injectors they'd be willing to part with?

Alright. The vacuum leak has been fixed and the car now idles as it should!!
.....However, one previously unseen problem has now arisen.......When I move the steering wheel, the rpm's drop. Power Steering fluid is just as it should be (Silent and smooth as buttah). What's up wit that? |
3 Attachment(s)
.....other than that small quirk.....
Here's The Finished Product!!! So what do you think? [Notice the huge gaping hole left from the lack of a battery (It's in the trunk).....I have an air horn from a 18-Wheeler (Semi-Truck) that will perfectly fill that spot!!^_^ hehe!] |
Where in Texas are you located?
I think MY turbovert can beat your turboverts ass! Just sayin. ;) |

What's up wit that? Does it stall? If it doesn't stall, don't worry about it. It's like putting the AC on, the idle will probably drop for a few seconds, then slowly rise back up. James |
