N/A stickers

Just wondering if anyone knows of anything like this in exsistance or if there would be interest in buying them if they were availible?

This is a 60 second paint scetch so don't rip on it other than design wise. It would/will be better when produced. (would happen at a professional shop if I made them)

Let me hear anything you have to say.

btw, I'm posting this here because this is the only section I visit and its not really a vendor issue yet.

Ive never seen anything like that before. Personally I wouldnt want one. People know my car is a N/A because of its slowness.. ;)

BDoty311 04-30-03 10:18 PM

Ha! Thats great. I wouldnt buy one, but Ill definately write that in shoe polish next time I go to the track.

Jimmy325i 04-30-03 10:18 PM

and everyone thinks mine is turbo...

I'm thinking about making these as a joke more than anything. They'll be high quality window stickers, (inside of glass) I forgot to mention that.

Bigretardhead 04-30-03 10:19 PM

will it be rice if I put one on my TII:D

Big time, some people might confuse you with high horsepower n/a power plants. Remember we have 6-ports, you only have 4.

Jimmy325i 04-30-03 10:25 PM

I'll probably correct the scetch on my next study break, but there will be a band around the "n/a" just like on the "original" stickers these mock. Hopefully Holly has better things to do than sue poor college students for copyright infringing mockery of their trademarks. :D

Jimmy325i 04-30-03 10:35 PM

Did it now instead. This is pretty much the idea anyway.

Any comments on how it could be better?

We're talking about like $5 a pair here. (stickers are expensive to make)

silverrotor 04-30-03 10:38 PM

Kind of a paradox...Nos >NA .:D

RotaryWeaponSE7EN 04-30-03 10:38 PM

I wouldn't but one either but thats pretty funny.

heh..like he forgot that. Sure hope he didnt anyway....

Not down with the NOS theme.....got any more schemes to for it?

Jimmy325i 04-30-03 10:58 PM

I personally like the nos theme because it mocks all the idiots who think they're fast because they run a 50 shot ontop of a 110hp motor and think they rule all and have a sticker to prove it.

There are plenty of guys who will/could school my ass on and off the bottle, but I like this joke.

If I get a design that would be as easily produced I might consider it as well. Feel free to post anything. I'm going to hook up with the same rep who makes stickers for the aviation dept at school and see if they can swing me a deal. The aviation banners are 1.5"x11" or so and in 3 color costing them about $3 a piece to produce. So these should be like 3"x5" or so and cost about $2 to make. (I spoke with the people who were ordering their stickers about this a year ago and that was roughly the prices)

Net profit on 2 stickers = 50 cents after postage and envelopes...

Something like this? :D

You spent way more time than I did jason. ;)

But I like it except the orange. We'll see...

Keep em coming. I'm doing this for everyones benefit here. Sure as fuck won't be the profit margin.

SonicRaT 05-01-03 01:24 AM

Do these come with the 15hp increase or 25?

Jimmy325i 05-01-03 01:30 AM

(Retail price - Cost to manufacture) x 100 = HP increase due to addition of sticker

So solving for HP depends on how much I charge for them. Would you like the 15 hp version or the 25? Maybe if your wallet can handle one, you'd like to go for the 5000hp model? :D

20 minutes, tops. That's just an edited version of the actual NOS logo stolen from the Holley website. :D

But I like it except the orange.
I left is as close to the real thing as possible, so it's a bit more stealthy. I'd write N/A instead of NA though. ;)

Center of The Universe 05-01-03 10:44 AM

OK.. ill make a slick one right now :D

Everyone thinks I got a turbo in my escort because of the heat shield, then they see me run it and are confused.... lol

Center of The Universe 05-01-03 11:12 AM

:) Bwahaha... It is only now that I realize how bad the Nos logo is.
