pimp....

recieves "teh Funk" stamp of approval!! :bigthumb:

PureSephiroth 02-07-06 08:23 AM

that is really impressive. I'll never do a front mount IC setup now.

torean 02-07-06 08:33 AM

i love the look of simple piping....probably the only way u can see turbo/pipe/IC/pipe/ TB all in 1 shot....my concern would be the clearence of the hood with the IC...are u planning to get a vented hood?....dont think theres enough space after the IC to promote air flow....btw..what are u size IC is that...it liiks alot smaller then others i've seen....

and...POST MORE PICS......

classicauto 02-07-06 08:42 AM

Yes a vented hood will be a must for the V-mount

otherwise the air will only bump up against the i/c as opposed to going right through

Nice setup though, is that a Koyo rad?

hope you see some nice spool up and solid temps - good work.

Houstonderk 02-07-06 09:15 AM

Solid ducting work. Probably wont have to worry about the overheating problem with that. Also curious as to which hood you will be using.

Click the link for more pictures.
Theres a new hood on they way, its just a ducted fiberglass one.
Thats the welding station air purification system (big vacume cleaner so your not breathing metal and argon)

Digi7ech 02-07-06 12:01 PM

Very nice.

I would be interested in seeing pics of how you mounted the radiator and IC.

It the oil cooler in the same place?

Any ducting panels in the airpath to help direct flow?

vipers 02-07-06 02:23 PM

the intercooler is awfully close to your positive battery terminal.......... ouch!

Digi7ech 02-07-06 04:05 PM

^not bad but from the angle it looks like you may have to remove the IC to remove the batt.

Still not as bad as Hondas though!
My brothers CRX has one fo the Cold air intakes and the piping was resting on the BATT!!!
We ended up using electrical tape to try and isolate the metal piping from the terminals :( Damn Ebay honda shit!

adrock3217 02-07-06 05:14 PM

My main reason for battery removal: Intercooler piping...
