My right rear wheel bounces whats the cause?
A friend was following me and said the rear wheel on right side was bouncing quite a bit the left was fine.
Is it the struts? springs? or something else? also when the car is stopped and you look at the wheels the wheels angle in at the top a little is this normal for a rex? I have an 86 N/A also I was thinkin of getting new struts would adustable shocks be worth the xtra $ thanks... |
Better have the alignment checked and also make sure that the rear wheel on that right side is balanced.

The springs may be worn out...if they're the originals, they're a few years old now. :)
When supergoat still had his FC, he bought some of those spring blocks that go in between a couple of the coils. They helped quite a bit and did not effect the height of the car. |
hmm...
From my experience wheel "bounce" effect is caused by worn out struts.

I concur - worn out shocks.  If ou got original shocks on your FC, they are probably bad and leaking...

Yup... the shock/stut....
I had the exact same problem on my 88GXL... damn, the adjustable shoock are EXPENSIVE!! (300 CDN!) Anyways, that;s the more common shock to go.... the rear, and the right hand side (even note the road is always worse right y the curb??) It'll make a WORLD of difference replacing it... it'll feel like a new car! |
