Got new seals from rotaryaviation. Great people to deal with. I bought the basic kit from them for 795CDN (504US). Got everything you need for the build except side seals, corner seals and chain I reused mine since they were in spec. I paid 26US extra for the chain though.

Did a whole lot of cleaning. That took the longest time to do. Did a really small port job since its my first time on the dremel, so next time ill do a bigger.

Will be putting in the engine, once I get the cherry picker here and the tb, intake etc..all tranfered to the rebuild. Ill keep posted.:D

1adzam 06-30-03 07:15 PM

Looks great! How did you get the rotor housings so clean? Looks like a bead-blast job

Rotorific 06-30-03 09:29 PM

yeah you guys come on, its chrome paint, but it comes out silver.

jeez

the engine doesnt even look like that brand new from the factory

fastrotaries 07-01-03 01:25 AM

it'll look good until you get oil or some solvent on it, then the paint comes off. I learned that the hard way.

ForsakenRX7 07-01-03 01:53 AM

Not if you use engine paint. the high temp stuff with ceramic in it works best. And once it get hot. Its on there, for good.

dag 07-01-03 01:58 PM

Paint.

If you want permanent paint, go get some Por15, that stuff needs to be baked on but it's not going anywhere.

jgrts20 07-01-03 08:01 PM

My point exactly. Been doing these for a long time. Getting tired of the 3-4 hours of scrubbing. If someone has a good simpler way, I am all for it.

asherwood 08-01-03 12:29 PM

Well, how does it run?

Dvst8 08-02-03 01:17 PM

its running good now.. idles steady at 800-1k. Starts without problems no more flooding.. .its just loud as hell now from the exhaust manifold area..but im happy with the results..

Roy James 08-02-03 01:45 PM

Good job on the rebuild my man! Looks good and the wheels look a hell-of-alot better painted than stock.
