my rear wiper... it's ugly.

tried searching for "wiper removal" and a few other variations... nothing.

has anyone done this before? could i just yank it out and fill the hole?

you could screw the wiper off but you'd still have that....umm what's a word for it, knob? poping out of the rear hatch. Not sure how you would go about getting that out.

use a button head bolt, nut and a big washer. paint them all black.

Get a hatch from a junkyard that came without the wiper.

I just took my wiper out yesterday. took about 15 minutes. you will need a 10mm socket and a vice graip. i didn;t have any sockets or wrenches big enough for the large cap. first flip up the end of the wiper cover. there is a 10mm bolt there, then unscreww the wiper arm. then there are 2 washer/bolts under that. I top washer/bolt is the hard one. the other comes offf with ease. after those are out unscrew the bolts on the underside of the glass. then you are done. I am gonna find something to cover the hole in the glass this week. I will let you know what I find.

I temporarily used a plastic nylon "furniture tip" that is made to go in the end of a metal tube.

Painted it w/ black texture paint and it doesn't look too bad.

I would really like to get this little "finger handle" thing I saw on a Honda. Just a little plastic handle that goes in the wiper hole to help lift the hatch up. You know how we have lazy hatches...:(
