A general question for all. What is the total weight of your FC build, Vert or Coupe? The more stripped the better. I would like to know this to see how my Vert compares to others alike, and also Coupes. Main reason why I would like to know about a Coupes comparison is I got a lot of shit for building a vert the way I did, and was told I could never get it lightened like a Coupe for possibilities. The vert IMO came out lighter then a Coupe with everything I did, but please share if I'm wrong. I know we are not identically the same, but same chassis. Any input would be appreciated. Here is a pic of my scaled numbers of my Vert.

What is the point of the weight loss and what did you delete to get there?

The main reason for the weight reduction is for me to drag race my car. With the weight down to what it's at and power I will be making, theoretically should be a 9 sec ET and stress less parts due to the weight. All this is built for is purpose built for 1/4 mile. Nothing else. The car was completely stripped of evert nut and bolt the rebuilt with only the essential parts I needed for drag racing. Even has a 8.5ET certified roll cage.

2735 lbs, 91 NA, without the driver, but with larger and heavier than stock tires and rims, when I corner weighted it a couple years ago. Sheds about 40lbs with the stock (actually vert BBS) rims. Pretty much a stock car other than the coilover suspension; full interior, AC, sunroof, 6 speaker stereo. It does have an aluminum hood. And no spare when I weighted it, since I don't track it with the spare or jack in.

Obviously, you stripped a lot out of a vert to get down to that weight, especially with a cage. Besides interior and sound deadening, I'd guess the bumpers/supports as big-ticket items, but I'm curious to know a bit more what you found to strip out or replace with lighter items.

There is so many big ticket items stripped out that made a considerable difference. Like the entire electrical system wiring/relays, controls. Crazy amount of weight, I did run a new simplified electric harness for light controls, which all work "brake, reverse, ect." But I would say the electronics, exhaust, interior, and the hard top were major weight loss.

That top is a big player right there . From frames and brackets, to wiring ,motor and canvas. That's some pounds .

Strip the paint, there has to be a few lbs there too!
