My power windows wont roll up!!! need help asap

So my drive side window wouldn't roll up today and i think its the switch because its loose, and the worst part of it is that there is a storm going through right now. So i was wondering if there is a manual way to roll up the windows?

I've had that problem. You can check the wiring of the switch and figure out which wires would be connected if the switch were in the up position and then short them with a wire. I don't know of a manual way to raise the window.

You'll have to remove your door panel, disconnect the connection to the motor which has two wires and supply voltage to one of the terminals and a ground to the other. A wire from the positive battery terminal will provide you with the voltage necessary and find a suitable place on the body for the ground and you could use the negative terminal on the battery for that if need be. If you do as such and the window doesn't close then either your ground choice wasn't sufficient or you applied the wires so the window would go down so you then switch the wires to the terminals on the motor and the window will go up.

you also might just need to clean the carbon off of the contacts of your window switch. there is a write up around here somewhere, if you search. it's like a 15min job to do.

I tried the window switch cleaning and it didn't fix the problem. I am replacing my window motors. Here is the little write up I did on it though. https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...witch+cleaning

It sounds like the actual toggle switch broke. I've had this happen 2 times now. It's been a while so this is all going off memory but here is what I've done as a temp fix till a new switch arrived.

Take the door panel off and remove the switch...unplug it of course :) Then take a small screwdriver and take the top off of the switch. You can plug the switch back in and use your finger to depress the same buttons that the broken toggle switch used to operate.
