My new subframe wont bolt up. What do I do?

I just got a replacement front engine crossmember for my 88 GXL and it wont fit, the studs are way out of whack, what the hell do I do. I'm on a time limit to get this thing put together. The back ones behind the wheel are spread apart too far and the ones in front are too close.

Wish I could say I have a camera.

I'll try and figure something out

Alright, camera is out for now I'll work on getting pics.

As of now the ones closest to the firewall are split 1" too far apart, the ones towards the bumper are 3/4 in towards the center off-center and the one on the passenger side is 1/2in too close to center. Hope this explains enough. I was thinking of using my dremel to cut to fit the mount location.

is the crossmember bent? was your car in any collisions? why are you swapping crossmembers? after these questions are answered, we can help you better

something isnt right if it isnt lining up that bad!

I wouldn't be dremmelling the cradle that holds your motor and front suspension on your car if the mounting locations are 1" off. You will run into HUGE problems with the car dog-tracking if you don't have that cradle installed EXACTLY where its supposed to be. And 3/4"-1/2" is substantial when it comes to alignment.

A little grind for clearing something is one thing......

You need to determine which part is bent, becuase one of them is (the car or the cradle, or both) The bolts and holes would have lined up no problem if something wasn't ever hit.

Determine which one is bent (look for signs of crinkling, swaying or previous repairs) and then we can figure out something to fit them together well with.

The cross beam was hooked on something and pulled straight bck and cut in half under the oil pan.
