Hey guys this is my new cheapo muffler pics. They are Otto Racing mufflers from Procarparts.com. The are very similare to the corksport mufflers. Half glass packed and half steel wool. 35 bucks each.
post more pics in the daylight today:) BTW, there is no point for me to take a fid because they sound same as stock, they just look better. I will install my Bonez Race Pipe soon then ill take a vid. |
Any comments?

c'mon, I'm sure he's not really trying to "represent" his wheels...
|
I looooove the Corksport exhaust. I have their 80mm turbo back.

The 4 luggers suck. only stock FC 4 lug wheel is the 14" phone dial. Not many options in the stock wheel department. |
yes my wheels suck becuase my dad was very poor in 86, yes we are the first owners, then i bought it off him and havent gotten the chance to get some new wheels. Im gonna get the phone dials because they give the car a retro look. I think itl look good with old style wheels.

i want it loud and deep
|
o and as soon as i get my others put on ill be selling my RB mufflers so pm if your interested and shoot me a price

Those mufflers are actually a pretty nice design internally. Just don't use the inserts that can "quiet" them. Those things will make them more restrictive than stock but still be insanely loud. If you like a loud muffler, those are the ones.

hey guys im getting a race pipe will this work to deaden the noise but not restrict flames?? I really want flames.

oh specs of the mufflers are 20in long, 2.5in inlet, 4in outlet, 6 inch body.
|
Great car.

Where in Montreal do you live?
The area looks familiar in the pics. |
The minute I looked at cork sports mufflers..... with the cork sport emblem tack weled onto the cans... I knew they were junk.. just some no-name mufflers with the CS emblem slapped on and the price quadrupled.....
I'll stick with my racing beats |
madzadude: In order to get flames, you'll have to remove the cats and put a straight pipe through. Be sure you know your emission laws there in Canada...
|
I live in the city near Cote de Neige. But will those exhaust inserst restrict flames Or no? I heard that flames occur in the mufflers due to all of the unburnt fuel being pushed out by the engine meets with the oxygen and explodes. I dunno correct me if im wrong.
I want to get the Bonez race pipe from rx7.com and put that exhaust insert to deaden the sound. Oh and those pics were taken in the west island near pierfonds. |
I'd make a pipe if i were you no need to buy a pipe like that in my opinion it's much cheaper just to buy some pipe, thats what i did 2.5 inch from the stock header back to racing beat cat back. gotta love those rb mufflers

Oh and those pics were taken in the west island near pierfonds. I'm of the opinion that putting one of those baffles into the pipe would be more trouble than it's worth. If you want flames and a nice exhaust tone - IMHO there's only one way to go. Loose the cats and get a Racing Beat downpipe and presilencer. They are some of the best quality pieces I've seen, they deaden the noise significantly, but remain freeflowing. http://www.racingbeat.com/photos/16206.jpg |
beaconsfield is a nice place my Grandparents live there.
