my fuel injectors won't squirt

My fuel injectors won't squirt for some reason. My fuel pump works fine and I just replaced my fuel filter. I don't think that they could have gone bad over a couple days, unless fuel system cleaner will do that to injectors. Can anybody tell me what color the wires are that goes from the injector wires to the ecu? imma try to find out where the break in the wiring is... if I have any..

at least your not flooding

How do you know they aren't working? You haven't given us much info to work with.

fuel lines reversed?? this happens to me whenever i reinstall engines.

The injectors were working fine like.. a few days ago. My car would start up and everything. I just filled up with a new tank of gas and put some of that fuel system cleaner in it. Then i drove it home, cuz one of my injector plugs popped out. I plugged everything back in and now the injectors won't squirt. The reason I know this is because I kept my injectors plugged in while connected to the fuel rail, then I pulled it out of the engine and tried to squirt it at somebody by cranking the motor. The fuel pump is doing it's job because one of the injectors shot out and hit my friend in the tit. Then gas juiced out of the fuel rail.

you pulled the secondaries out... dont they stay off during startup + idle upto a certain RPM?

see if you can pull codes (search) theres a good right up by reted somewhere.

check your crank angle sensor to see if its still connected, this will keep the injectors from working if disconnected.

step away from your car. OMG

secondaries shouldn't fire while cranking AFAIK

ey the primary thingies are squirting juice now when i try to start it, but it still won't start. I think maybe the car thing is flooded. how do i unfloodulate it?

NZConvertible 01-20-05 10:48 PM

To unflood the engine:
  1. Pull out the 30A EGI COMP fuse under the hood (this diasbles the injectors), OR if you have one, turn your fuel pump kill switch off.
  2. Hold the throttle wide open (very important) and crank it over for at least 5 seconds but no more than 10 (or you could overheat and damage the starter motor).
  3. Replace the fuse (or turn pump switch on) and without touching the gas pedal try to start the engine.
  4. If unsuccessful, repeat steps 1-3 allowing 15-20 seconds between cranking attempts to allow the starter motor to cool.
  5. If still unsuccessful after a few attempts, remove the leading (lower) spark plugs and repeat steps 1 and 2.
  6. Using a small oil can (by far the easiest method), squirt a small amount of engine oil or ATF into each plug hole.
  7. Replace the spark plugs and repeat step 3.
