Is My Fc Flooded
My clutch fluid was out..little did i know..I'm a noob...
anyway i tried to get her started she just bucked. did this a couple of times, then i realized .. hey you just bought this car and d didn't change the fluids..so that's when i refilled the fluid.. i went out later that night and she started up... clutch feel returned but now she just turns over but wont catch..she sparks and tries but nothing.. just put in a new battery as well ....anyone anyone...:wallbash: BLakJ ... Here man try this out. It works for most people and either way you will know if it's flooded or something else is up. |
If you turned the car on, let it run for a few seconds, and then shut it off... you probably flooded the engine. Pretty common. Follow the instructions above to de-flood, and in the future, let the engine warm up before you turn it off.

If you've got an S5 (1989-1991), you've got the easy way out. Turn the key to 'start' and floor the accelerator until the car starts. If you've got an S4 (1986-1988) follow the link above.
