My car's been parked for 4 months with 1/4 tank...

My car's been parked for 4 months with just over 1/4 tank of gas in it. I'm finally getting a new engine put in next week and I'm worried that there might be some rust in the tank or something. What do you guys think? Besides needing a new battery is there anything else that might be wrong with it for sitting for so long?

well we had a ford tempo that sat at least 6 yrs and it started ok on that old *** gas( when we figured out it jumped time so long ago)

then my dad bought an rx-7 that was sitting for 4 yrs and that old gas it ran fine with.

mine sits all the time, only get driven about 4-5 times a year usally all around the same time, still runs good i just keep a trickle charger on the battery so no dead battery, but thats the only problem you should have, i also have an N/a that sits and fires right up, gas goes bad but pretty much will still always work, and it will take time to get rust built up in there

I JUST started mine up after sitting for a year. fired it up for the first time two days ago and it ran a little crappy with the old gas (about 1/4 tank) but once I put some new gas in it is running fine.

only problems I'm noticing so far is the gauges seem to stick a little bit, the brakes seem a little iffy on how hard I need to push on them. I really need to push to get them to do much. so far that is about the worst of it.
