Hey make sure all the clips that come in through the dash are plugged up. There are two up near the hole that if they aren't plugged in no starty..... be positive that they are plugged in. Later Tater

jspec.
did you check compresson on the rotars? take out plugs. and hand crank or turn the key to crank over the engine. listen for 3 solid wooshes(from both rotars) if one seal is busted you'll here 2 soft woosh and one strong woosh. if you here this........ well.......... 50% of the time jspec are blown or seals are rusted |
ps. is the safty switch behind the clutch connected? there is a grounding switch. you have a switch there so your car wont turn on if your clutch isnt down. make sure you hooked that switch up. it completes the circuit to your starter ^_~
thats it for what i know... |
Do the screwdriver trick. Put the screwdriver across the connections on the starter. She'll turnover if you got power and a good ground. Then you'll know the problem is in the clutch safety switch or the ignition switch.

The motor appears to have some compression even on all faces. But it's a wiring issue at this point. |
well i think i have all the wires pulled up but i can double check that dash..... i will keep trying everything that i can think of and what you tell me..... i need my car running!!!!

When he turns the key one of the relays up front clicks... So we can pretty much rule out the ignition switch... Is there a way to bypass the clutch switch to see if it is suspect?
|
Also, MAKE 100% sure that the two relays under the coil closest to the firewall are plugged up as on of them is the "starter cut" relay according to the FSM. I would go back and 100% check all the connections.
You could bypass the "clutch" switch and see if it is bad by just using a spare connector (thin one that clips to the top of the solienoid) and plugging the stripped end into the other "hot" wire on the starter... Also try regrounding the damn thing. |
