my car doesn't like to start
My starter crapped out a couple weeks ago, so I put a new one on there.. and everything was fine. However, now my car takes a lot of lovin to get started, especially when its hot. It's pretty embarassing when I'm in a crowded parking lot.. By a lot of lovin I mean it needs to crank for a while, and it usually takes about three tries before she starts up. Anyone know how to remedy this? Thanks.

What happens when you engage the fuel cut by pressing the pedal the floor white cranking?

Hehe, the weather starts getting hot and the "hot start" posts pop up again. Before the winter, my TII had same problem, but then I read in the manual (*sigh*) and it also says to depress the pedal to the floor, like what vaughnc said. It may still take a lil' cranking, depending on how hot/flooded.
Be sure to wait a couple seconds between consecutive cranks to protect the starter. |
