Ok,
I have an 87 Sport N/A and the other day while i was at my University I noticed a big *** oil puddle under my car. at first i thought that it couldn't be my oil but i checked under the hood just to be on the sade side an I see that a braided steel line is leaking bad! Its a good thing i was able to get help from a good freind and we drove to auto zone and bought 6 quarts of oil and we carefuly took my baby back to my house.
Well I got the battery out tha way so i could get a better view of the situation. Just to let you guys know i'm not a big mechanics buff so forgive me but the line runs from what i think is the oil cooler tho the engine.
Does anybody know what the line is realy called so I can know what to ask for at the dealership.

If it is the cooler lines you don't want to go to the stealership for them.
One line from the dealer will cost as much as a pair of SS braided high performance replacement lines from Corksport or Mazdatrix. (www.corksport.com or www.mazdatrix.com)

Now the funny thing is I got a hole in my upper oil cooler line Friday night I just got done topping off my oil on Wed and then my oil low light came on.. Lucky for me, one of the garages I go and bs with was there after 10pm so we did a temp fix on mine by cutting the line and shoving a copper pipe into it and clamping it down (thank God he wasn't going to charge me for his help or shop tools and supplies). Good temp fix till I have the cash to get new lines for it. BTW it was a small hole that was dripping 23 drops a min..
Here's the cork sport ones, they are the same as the non AN type that Mazdtrix sells, and only $125 right now:

When replacing the lines, be very careful not to overtighten banjo bolts. If you do, you can crack the aluminium cooler and end up with a very expensive repair. About 45 LBS is good. Also, always replace the copper crush washers. You will need a 23MM socket.
