Mx-6 front end onto FC
 

I've been thinking of what to buy once i sell an extra car of mine to pay fines and buy parts for my AE86 (basically looking for something for $300 or so as a daily driver). I've been looking at the FC and the Mx-6s and the bodies are surprizingly similar, i chopped the roof off an Mx-6 in photoshop and it looked identical to an FC vert.

The relevance, i'm wanting to buy an FC from a junkyard which is wrecked in the front, but running for ~$200 or so, i have access to Mx-6 parts for practically nothing, just curious if anyone has tried it.

never heard of it, but it might work. would be interesting to see how it turns out....

Just an idea, i'll have a suspended license after my fines are paid, i'll have ~1,000 to blow after selling a car and paying fines. In the time period of not having my license, i'm doing a head swap onto my 86 and a quad carb set-up, that should cost me around $500-$700 thus leaving me with $300-$500 to spend on another car.

Does sound interesting. Try photoshopping it and showing us. Atleast you can get an idea of what it'll look like.

A quick photoshop i did in a matter of minutes, i'd expect it to look better than this considering the lines aren't aligned properly and i had to erase alot of the side of the bumper due to the two pictures being at different angles.

dude i hate to say it but i think it will be hard and require alot of custom work and it will look like ass in the end becuasue the lights wont fit with the lines of the rex cuz she is too slanted in the front.

It's cheap, it'll be drivable, i'll have an Rx-7 again.

cant blame you for that. Go ahead and try it and you might end up being a pioneer of something new and different and everyone will remember you for it. And if it works it works and if it doesnt at least you can say you gave it s shot

nuh, mys well keep the mx6 if ur gonna change the rex that much!! it wont be a rex anymore!!

if it's got a rotary and started life as an rx7...it's an rx7 in my book:D
