MSD ignition
Does anyone reccomend buying a used one? Or buy new? They wouldn't degrade with age would they? Where could i buy a new one on the net?
Thanks girls, n boys Evan |
Buy the Crane box instead. It's a much more modern design. There shouldn't be anything wrong with a used one as long as it works.

What about the Jacob's kit?
|
Jacob's is pretty overpriced, but I'm sure there's nothing wrong with it.
|
does crane make a rotary box? or do you have to hotwire it yourself like the msd setups?
|
The real reason I want that one is cause its blue, lol. I plan to have everything blue under my hood. I don't like mismatching shit.
|
why dont you just...spay paint it? and mask the areas or writing?
|
MSD works fine $ wise, I wish I had Jacobs

I have the Msd 6-al..I want to run two more..On the trailing coils..I hope to do that soon..I guess that is possible...It would give her more spark for sure..Msd boxes are the best boxes in my book...I have the SCI ignition on my Civic as well it does awesome to...I like em..

heya zaxfire. i talked to an msd tech on the phone last year since i was planning to install an msd box in an accord for a friend. the tech told me that the silver import boxes (SCI?) and the red boxes (6 series) that have no difference if they are not rev limited. they are the same things but different color. the import community wanted their own boxes different from the old red style boxes, so msd made them silver and upped the price 30 bucks. so following the techs advice my friend got a 6A and threw it on his accord. worked fine, actually it made quite a bit of difference in that accord, and he just ripped it out to put in his rex :)
