motor swap help

i have a s5 and was thinkin about buyin this one guys s4 he says he rebuilt it and i was wondering is it hard to throw a s4 into a s5

mazdaverx713b 12-10-08 02:04 PM

not really hard..but a slight downgrade in power. you'll have to swap over a complete S4 engine wiring harness and ecu for the swap...

If you arent technically inclined, the swap is a toothless aids ridden hepatitiswhore (not the greatest thing).* I would reccomend lots of research, "front cover swap", "sensor differences s4 s5" and "standalone engine management systems". Also research "omp block off", and "premix". Doable swap, but by no means remotey comparable to a within series swap.

o ok thanx.... what do u guys know about the auto adjusting suspension thingy.... how does it work

farberio 12-10-08 03:42 PM

Or, to make things w`way easier, read about using the S4 bare block and sticking on all of the S5 accesories.

Auto Adjust Suspension came on GXL models only, almost all of them are frozen up and dont work anymore. You dont need it for your car and its not worth the time and effort to install it.
