most hp out of a stock port n/a with out juice, real dyno only not butt dyno....
im trying to see how far a stock port engines been pushed successfully.
this includes ram air, home-made manidolds, exaust mods, standalone, any and everything exept porting, turbo, supercharger, and nos i know its been asked, but i want actual sheets if possible. exact numbers |

yes there is it doesnt do much, nothing on a dyno in fact but it does work a bit and i do NOT want this to turn into a ram air discussion

the thing about a custom manifold is that you would really want to use it with a ported engine to fully take advantage of it

What are the pros or cons about porting/polishing intake runners on a rotary? And remember he said stock-"ported" engine not "stock" engine so everything else could be modified including internals.

gsl-se are 9.4 . highest FC is 9.7 in the s5's... stock for stock 2nd gen nonturbos engines are understandably better than the older gsl-se design. The manifolds on an s4 are better for example.

my plan is to run a s5, on a standalone, with t2 manifolds using the t2 scoop as an intake for cold air, lightweight rims tires, light weight fly, gtus tranny or miata box, dyno tuned with zero emissions, racing beat header straight through muffs and any other little things i can do to push it over the edge. im trying to break the 200 mark if possible, i highly doubt it but we'll see.

highest are 10:1 RX8 rotors and port phasing the rotors would also allow for more power but this thread is about a STOCK motor that has been modded externally.

i doubt you would see that much difference between 9.4 and 9.7... if any try different ways of getting air into engine instead |
Why couldn't you weld unto the rotor and raise the compression like you could by welding a combustion chamber on a piston engine?

1) the rotors would need to be rebalanced, not just any machine shop can rebalance rotors. 2) the rotors are cast iron, cast iron is not a material that is easily weldable nor would the welds be adequate for the temps/pressures in the combustion chamber |

Who the hell welds the combustion chamber of a piston engine to raise the compression? The easiest way to raise the compression in a piston engine is either with flattop/popup pistons, and/or have the block 0 decked, and/or surface the heads, and/or get a smaller cc combustion chamber head. I have never heard of anyone adding a weld in the combustion chamber to raise compression. Thats just goofy. You could also just throw some JB weld on top of the piston to raise the compression, if you were a dumbass. I have also heard that you can wrap the rotor in electrical tape(the more you wrap, the higher the compression!!) then cut slits out so the apex seals can come through... this also will raise the compression, if your a dumbass. |

ok once again, no internal engine changes, this is all bolt on type stuff

Pd-day hit 151 to the wheels in an s5, without porting the manifolds. there isnt much left after that, other than a holley carb or tb injection.

I put down 146whp and 135wtq on a mustang dyno. Thats on S4 with ~170k on stock motor with just a 12lb fly wheel and no main cat. Full exaust feels like ~20whp, no dyno soon as i just wrecked it and insurance is trying to screw me.

i'm pretty sure you can't put a 4 port manifold (T2) on your 6 port engine...
