More wiper switch questions

Ok guy I have a fairly simple question for you. What does relay #2 control from the pics on this site? http://2ndgenrx7.freeservers.com/wiper%20switch.html I am having problems with my mist and Delay settings not working. I was wondering if this relay controled them? My low speed setting works fine my HI speed is faster then the low but not by too much. Thanks for your help. -Jeremy

I couldn't see the link you posted (there are some major errors in the coding) but in the picture below:

Relay one is the one that would need to be replaced for the problems you describe. Relay two is the high/low speed relay, but your description suggests that relay two is working fine.

Maybe this (from my website) will help you better, without the pop ups and other crap of the page you posted: http://www.mazdamark.com/DIY_wiper_repair.htm

when you pulled relay one out, did you see any bits of copper on the old relays terminals? You may have damaged the circuit board.

tested the new relay and its good, checked the board out nothing visible but i probaly did f somthing up, its the first time i have done and circuit board work, it wouldn't supprise me. It just strikes me odd that the only problem is the timing of the int. and mist. They are getting power it goes at the same speed as Lo there must be a short somewhere else in the switch. Starting to think about just finding a switch on ebay or somthing. Unless you have any more good ideas to try :) thanks, jeremy

I have several of the different type wiper switches already rebuilt available on my website, and would be willing to give you $10 for the old switch towards the purchase of a rebuilt one.

what model RX-7 do you have?

75% of the ebay switches I have bought (I buy them for cores) have not worked and needed work as well.
