might be stupid questions about turbine housing
 

i have bad luck searching it, but i was wondering first, what footprint is our stock turbine housing on our turbos, and secondly, what it would take to get a t3/t4 turbine housing on a stock turbo (s5) and if that would remove the internal wastegate.... thanks in advance

Why would you want to do this?

The foot print is basically proprietary.

you wanna run an external gate on the fact. manifold...?

1)weld the gate closed
2) bore a hole in the manifold
3) install a VW external w/dump tube

I had this setup on my 87 last summer, no creep and a loud ass dump tube...

My setup is actually for sale in the canadian classifieds - no pics yet though

so is the turbine housing redily interchangable with any type of t3/t4 housing?

so...there is no way to make mine a t3 or t4? hmm...okay thank you all
