Miata tranny in FC N/A streetport

Yes I did search so don't even bother telling me to, I found a little but not what i needed to know.

What i want to know is ALL that it would take to swap a miata tranny into the FC. I am running a 1990 vert with a decent sized streetport and a few other mods. What clutch would i use? what about the tranny mounts? Will it handle the power? What would happen to my top speed? how do they hold up under high RPM situations?

And most of all, is it possible to put the 6-speed onto the FC? i'd love to have that tight of tranny on my car for road racing.

The miata tranny won't bolt to the 13b engine, or so I ahve been told by a mechanic that works on both mazdas.

i heard that if you swap the bellhousing from the rx to the miata tranny that it will work. I'm jsut trying to verify that.

why would you want to do that when most of the the miata people wants to drop rx7 TII tranny and drivetrain in their miata and it'll probably be easier to drop TII drivetrain in your vert instead

The Miata has one of the best feeling dogboxes in existence, that's why he'd want to do it. Don't know how robust it is though.
