megan racing tie rod ends
anyone use these?
I happened to acquire a set and I am having installation issues. They seem to be too short and bind at 2/3 suspension droop. Anyone had success with these? my search didn't come up with much... |
they make these for fc's now?
|
Do you have the spacers for them.. this may cause them to bind if they arent installed.
|
They are too short.
I'm running them on my drift/daily driven project now. I'm also running secret element tie rods. In order to get the safest thread engagement from rack to knuckle, i put about 3-4mm of spacer washer on both sides of the rack between the inner rod and rack. Going to replace these with mazdatrix units in a couple months b/c they are longer. I have a question for you. No matter how hard you beat them into the knuckle, did they not want to fully seat? That's another problem i had with these chinaland specials and why they'll probably end up on craigslist very soon. |
Oh great, so many uninformed wanna-be drifters bought their crappy coilovers that they have expanded their line of substandard so-called performance products. Caveat emptor.

They seated just fine in the knuckle when I reversed the spacers as shipped. I guess i have to put the stockers back in. Oh well. it was a cheap find for me! |

never said the were great, i mean as always u get what u pay for ultimately, but for the price they were functional and up to par with bottom end name brand coil-overs.
|
Good things = functional. You serious with this shit?
|
so ur gettin pissed with me cause i made the comment i heard there good?? wow good job e thug!! hahahaha
and yes, components working as they should to me means good...if it didnt do what it was supposed to do then its bad...guess i have a skewed sense of quality.....i apologize! |
I guess what he means is that "good" while vague and a sort of umbrella adjective, usually implies above par performance, not just "working".

i got mine form a friend and they ARE shitty. mines too short too and i need alot more then 10 mm. any1 know where i can get my hand of some spacer for them?
|
On their website they say they need aftermarket rod inners........So I am guessing they need a longer inner tie rods...Ive never had a problem with Megan products...fully rebuildable reliable coilovers that can be beat on and rebuilt for next to nothing. The problem is they themselves dont even make an aftermarket inner rod for the FC....
|
hey i talked to megan if you guy want to returned them they will send you the new verison of these.
