Mechanical OMP Adapter
What should the flow of the Mechanical OMP adapter be if using two stroke oil? or the position of the lever? 0deg Idle / 90 WOT? I see forum posts and what everyone has done, but I cant find any info on the rate of flow. Just making sure I do it right the first time.

Umm.. the OMP doesn't matter if your pre-mixing, just let it do its thing.

Unless you are talking about the Rotary Aviation two stroke metering oil pump adapter? I would think that you should set the flow to stock levels or a little more if you are concerned.

I am trying to find a solution to only use 2 oil injectors with the 2 stroke adapter. I have an aftermarket intake manifold that is a one piece and I do not want to hack it up for 2 oil injectors if I dont have to. I figured there would be an easy way to just use the two that are on the motor its self and meter the same ammount of oil as if you were using 4. Premix is not an option since I am going to EMS that would be a downgrade for EFI, plus I don't want to deal with mixing when I can just fill up a catch can once or twice a month.

I was under the impression that each bank of oil injectors covers only 1 side of the apex seal. If not, you may be able to drill out the 2 injectors

There are 4 oil "injectors" on the 2nd gen. One in each rotor housing, and then one in each intake runner (I can't remember if it's primary or secondary right now, but I'm 99% sure it's primary). The rotor housing injectors form a drop of oil that it swept up by the leading edge of the apex seal. The intake runner injectors drop into the intake stream so the oil is atomized into the air/fuel charge. |
