Are Mazdatrix parts OEM?

I need to change out my clutch master and slave cyl and was looking around and saw that the Mazdatrix parts are more expensive then say Autozone. Are Mazdatrix parts oem? Would I benefit from them over the autozone parts? It is about a $50 diffference.

Thanks

many of Mazdatrix's parts are indeed OEM, while some are not.

With a clutch master and slave, I would go with whoever is the cheapest as they mostly use OEM cylinders that have been re-bored anyway and a master/slave O ring is pretty much the same no matter what.

thanks thats exactly what I was looking for. I like it when the cheapest works....not too often that happens

I would not go with generic rebuilt hydraulics as I tried this with my 1st RX-7 and had to buy new OEM from Mazdatrix after the rebuilt clutch and brake masters failed.

parts store versions of regular OEM parts like that have 1/4 to 1/2 the life in my experience, sometimes worse.

so you two are suggesting getting the mazdatrix parts?

looking at a price difference from NAPA to Mazdatrix of $95 to 130.
The NAPA parts say "Product Features:Meets or Exceeds Original Equipment Function & Durability"

not if you buy the right brand... most of the time parts stores have several brands in stock and will just sell you the cheapest because they assume that's what you want.

You can buy a "parts store" part that's made by the same company that makes the OEM Mazda part (so it's the same thing) for cheaper.

Ok so I just came to this conclusion...

The master is only a few dollar difference so I am going to get the mazdatrix one since I am getting the braided line there anyways. And I am going to get the NAPA slave, since it is half the price and a lot easier to change if it fails, and does state that it is OEM quality unlike the autozone one.

For things like O2 sensors, yes, as they are both from Bosch. But a part remanufactured in Malaysia like a starter is just not the same as OEM, even compared to an OEM reman part (not talking about OEM reman engines, that's another can of worms). Aftermarket parts store stuff often don't fit right either, like the autozone replacement radiator I bought which I had to modify. I know OEM shit can feel like a ripoff but in most cases it is better, even though often it's still not worth buying due to the enormous price difference. So then people buy these parts, sell the car, and they fail again for the next owner.

If you want to save even more money you could rebuild the parts you have. There is a write-up in the archive. Also blackdragon has the oem parts for less.

Anybody have any exp with blackdragonauto parts?

OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer which is not mazda (most of the time)... for example, on a GM, a lot of things are manufactured by AC Delco, you can go to the dealer a pay out that ass because they mark up their parts, or you can go to the parts dealer and get an AC Delco part for much cheaper. it's the same exact part.

As I was saying earlier, most of the time a parts store will have several different versions of the same part made by different brands.

as long as you get a part made by a good brand, it'll be fine. and you don't have to pay dealer mark ups

You aren't paying dealer mark-up at Mazdatrix. Mazdatrix is less than Mazda list, and dealers are a good bit more than Mazda list.

Here is my take: On many parts its not a big deal. I get the cheap auto-store parts many times. But for something as important as brakes, I wouldn't go cheap. Now if NAPA as has a good quality OE-type part then get it there, but it its some off-brand then you should just get it from Mazdatrix.

all mazdatrix parts are oem except there performance parts such as racing beat stuff and some of there in house parts but stuff like the slave kits and things like are directly from the dealer there expensive but cheaper than going to the dealer

lol, I know of at least a few threads full of members that would argue that "the stant works better"
